Ana Celia Gutierrez  Nee: Rodriguez

On December 29, 2005, Ana beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 57.

Ana was a warm, loving, devoted grandmother to Marisol, Pablo and baby Kayla & Layton; a true Chilean mom - passing down her favourite recipes to her daughters Priscilla and Anita; always fussing over her son Alejandro; and a friend to me.

I loved greeting Ana with "ola" - Spanish for "hi" and a hug. She'd always smile and ola/hug right back. Ana always thought of others before herself and no matter what was asked of her - whether it was preparing a family feast or creating the perfect pizza at work -she'd put her heart and soul into it.

When Priscilla mentioned joining the WALK - Ana registered too. Although she was shy, because she thought her English wasn't very good, she mustered up the courage to ask her co-workers at Sobey's to sponsor her. And when it came to extended family - well, she certainly wasn't shy then!

Ana will be very sadly missed by all those who had the great honour of meeting and knowing her.

She was one amazing lady.
